Chocolate Yule Log - Tronchetto di Natale al Caffe - There is a custom that on Christmas Eve an enormous log of freshly cut wood called the Yule log would be fetched and carried to the house with great ceremony. On Christmas Eve, the master of the house would place it on the hearth. In more recent times, the Christmas Yule log has become a traditional pastry, and ours is a delicious cake roll, smothered in coffee and chocolate-flavoured icing.
We import the Tronchetto di Natale al Caffe-Italian Traditional Yule Log with Coffee- from Verona, Italy, where they're hand-crafted in the Borsari Bakery, a prestigious Italian bakery that has been baking traditional Italian holiday breads since 1902.
